Safe Family Friendly Activities For Halloween!

The fall season is finally in full swing, which means hayrides, pumpkin patches, and of course Halloween. If you and your child want to build new fellowship in the greater Hampton Roads area we have just the activities for you. We found several church-based family-friendly alternatives to Halloween and wanted to share them with you. We here at Faith Finders want you to find your next community of believers
St John's Harvest Festival (Virginia Beach, VA)
Date: Saturday, October 22, 2016 from 3-7pm
Location: 2300 Holland Rd, Virginia Beach, VA
This annual family-friendly event will have food, games, a bounce house, and a trunk or treat. Costumes are encouraged! This free event is fun for you and your children and has community and fellowship as well! This event is free
ZooBoo at the Virginia Zoo (Norfolk)
Date: Saturday October 22, 2016 from 10am-6pm
Location: 3500 Granby Street, Norfolk VA
The annual ZooBoo at the Virginia Zoo gives you and your child a safe alternative to trick or treating this year. There will be costume contests, animal pumpkins, crafts, bounce houses and more! Entrance fees are $15 for non-members, children under 2 are free. Check their website for more details!
Deep Creek United Methodist Church Harvest Festival (Chesapeake)
Date: Tuesday October 25, 2015 from 2pm - 5pm
Location: 141 George Washington HWY N, Chesapeake VA
The Deep Creek UMC is hosting another great church-based alternative to trick or treating with their awesome Harvest Festival. Activities include carnival games, food, bounce houses, live music, and of course a trunk or treat for the kids! Don’t fret adults there are activities for you as well, like live music and over 30 vendors selling crafts and other wares. This event is free, and costumes are highly encouraged!
The Mariners’ Museum Presents: Pirate Halloween Party (Newport News)
Date: Saturday October 22, 2016 from 5:30pm - 7:30pm
Location:100 Museum Drive, Newport News, VA 23606
This event is free for children 12 and under and only $10 for adults. The Mariners’ Museum wants to give you the full Pirate Halloween experience! There will be games, face painting, ring the hook, and your child can even walk-the-plank!
